On December 12, 2015, three young people with brilliant business ideas emerged winners of the 2015 SmarterPrize Business Grant competition. The annual competition is aimed at fostering self-actualization, positive engagement and creation of economic opportunities for young school leavers to exhibit their entrepreneurial potentials, talents and creativity. The 2015 edition of the competition was made possible through a grant from the US Department of State’s Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF) and other local business especially Sparks Shopz.

Applications are open for the 2015 SmarterPrize competition. SmarterPrize is a small business grant competition for young people with creative and innovative business ideas. The competition is organised by iKapture Networks with support from the US Department of States’ Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF). The aim is to identify young secondary school leavers between 15 and 24 years who have smart business ideas but lack fund to start-up.
Selected finalists will receive grants of up to N100,000, mentoring and training to help them launch their enterprises.
